Beach House Suites - St. Pete

This was my 1st stay at the Beach House suites, and I was very impressed. The staff could not have been nicer and very accomodating. I have stayed at the Don Cesar in the past and wanted to give the suites a try, I wasn't disappointed.The rooms were very spacious and clean. The pool was small but I liked this aspect, as it was not as congested as the Don Cesar. If you are looking to access the Don Cesar, yet also be able to escape the crowds, this is the place for you... I found the rooms at the Don Cesar ,while nice were very small..the Suites give you spacious living room bedroom kitchen areas... I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to book my next year trip

We booked the beach house standard room and upon our arrival we toured one of the balcony rooms at the end of the building closest to the ocean. Though we are frugal ( obviously we are not at the Don) they offered us a deep discount and so we took the room. Absolutely a fantastic choice and the sunsets were amazing. No rooms at the Don have the view we had! The golden touch is accessibility to all the services and room charge ability at the main hotel. This was a lovely 1/2 mile walk down the beach and a great experience. Rooms were very nicely appointed with quality furnishings. Granted we were here in January but it was very peaceful and the staff was very friendly.

First time at Beach Suites. What I loved was the room - not the entire property, but it was so worth it and enjoyable to walk down the beach 7 minutes to use the Don pool and facilities. Or take the shuttle at night. I would return here for sure. Smaller property than the Don - felt more private. Remodeled rooms that are more like an apartment - dishwasher, washer dryer, dining room table, large balcony - everything you need. For 2 people, it was perfect. Pool and pool bar at the property was convenient, but felt more like 2.5 starpool facilities. I would be careful with room location. There were rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor facing the pool bar that was literally 15 feet away from the room's balcony. Had an excellent dining experience at Selene Restaurant right down the street and the rooftop bar at the Grand Plaza is amazing for drinks.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary at the Don Beach House Suites. I was concerned that because we were not at the big hotel that we would not get the same treatment or experience and I was beyond impressed with the whole place!! In fact next time we will be going back to the Beach Suites again!! We had certain demands such as a pet friendly room, and wanted to see the beach. When we arrived we were graciously greeted by the General Manager Rich, that I cannot say enough amazing things about. He gave us a warm welcome and informed us that all our amenities were the same as the Don Cesar, he went on to tell us of great restaurants/bars/music and landmarks of St. Pete Beach. reminding us to use the Don Beach House Shuttle whenever needed, which we DID. Once we got settled the rooms were completely updated, kitchen and 2 bathrooms with an amazing view of the Gulf of Mexico. While we were sitting on our balcony with our dog the bartender Shawn asked how we were doing and told us to come down and join her for a cold drink, she even made the dog a bowl of water. She was beyond a delight, the front desk even mentioned to visit Shawn because she is so inviting and just a great vibe! As we were checking out the cleaning crew was soo sweet and told us to make sure to come again. We are already planning our next trip! There is something to be said about a General Manager with so much positivity it truly shows in all of the staff. We never made it down to the Big Don Cesar we actually didn't go far from our room. Thank you to Rich and Shawn particularly but to all the staff at the Don Beach House Suites you all are what vacationing is about!!!

Pictures can't really capture the quality of this condo hotel. There really isn't a bad room, they all are the same gorgeous furnishings and all have some sort of terrific view. Some rooms just have more of the water view. The rooms are not just hotel rooms, they are full bedrooms with amazingly comfortable beds and nice linens. There are 1 to 2 full baths per unit, plus a washer and dryer in unit and a mini kitchen, plus balcony. What else could you want except to be able to walk a few steps into the soft white sand on the beach, which they offer too! There is plenty of parking and some of it is covered. Take the shuttle to the pricey Don Cesar and use their fabulous fitness center or have a bite in their water front restaurant. They are embarking on a huge exterior improvement so it will only get better. Definitely a memorable stay and great management!

Loved the renovations. The concrete kitchen table/bar area was a family fave for us. The 1 bed/2 bath floorplan is perfect for families. Magnificent views. Central location. Friendly, accommodating staff. We traveled with 2 adults and 5 kids (4 being teenagers). We booked 2 rooms next to each other. Perfect setup! Teenagers had their space and bathrooms!

Our family stayed there for a few nights in March. Hanging out at the beach is our thing and you're Beach concierge, Michael Fabian, was a go to guy! He hooked us up with a sand friendly wheelchair for my mother and set us up with everything we needed for a great day at the beach. His prime concern was making sure we were happy and were in need of nothing! He's the type of guy that probably could have arranged a clam bake if we saw fit! Lol Thanks Michael, maybe next time! The Feeneys and the Crawfords will be looking forward to coming back very soon!

Loved this hotel. The beach access is fantastic, and the beach itself is beautiful. No large crowds. The suite itself was well decorated and well furnished, in a contemporary style. The pool and amenities at the hotel are certainly adequate in there own right, but if you want even more pools, bars, restaurants etc.., then you have access to the original Don Cesar. It really is a great value.

When we were looking for somewhere to stay on the beach in Florida, a friend recommended the "Beach House Suites". We are so glad we stayed there!! It's a fairly small hotel, but a sister to a huge and popular hotel (The Don Cesar) just a few minutes away. What we liked about the Beach House Suites was how quiet it was. Our suite had a very very comfortable king bed, great A/C and a beach view that you normally see on post cards. The sunsets were amazing!! You'll be glad you stayed here.

A short plane ride from dc to Tampa brought to us to the picturesque town of St. Petersburg. We stayed at Don Cesar suites. Balcony had a great view of the gulf which is best enjoyed in am. (Sun is staring at you in the afternoon). This property is perhaps half a mile from the main hotel and It felt ideal for a family. Hotel is a 4 star with decent restaurant where they also serve their lunch buffet. Mr Micheal Fabian from the hotel, made us a daybed on the beach overlooking the waves with ideal placements of multiple umbrellas. He was very attentive to customers needs. Hotel is best for location on the beach where You can watch the sunset. The property has some decent restaurants nearby. An absolute must is Sola. Downtown St. Petersburg is very pretty and is 15 minutes away.

Michael Fabian was the MOST awesome host for renting the chairs and umbrellas. He could NOT have been more helpful or kind. He would regularly check on us and ask if we needed the umbrellas moved to stay out of the sun. Very cheery disposition.

We've stayed at the Beach House Suites numerous times and each time is perfect. We enjoy the spaciousness of the Beach House Suites compared to the smaller rooms of the Don. With access to both properties amenities, it's an easy decision to stay here, enjoy the less crowded pool and beach, or walk down the beach to the Don to enjoy their pools and restaurants if wanted. The staff here is ALWAYS superb. From the front desk who helped us get in early since we arrived before we had planned, to the room service, cleaning crew, bartenders etc. The beach is always beautiful and such a wonderful experience. Michael Fabian takes great pride in the beach experience here and is a large part of why we love coming. From the moment you step in the sand, he's ready to get you hooked up with a great cabana or chairs. Never invasive, but always readily available, and always consistently professional, personable and cheerful, this guy is the king of the beach. I'd advise staying just to meet this dude. Just book it, you won't be disappointed.

We were glad to stay here, with easy access to the beach, a beautiful, clean pool and hot tub, and friendly, helpful service. Special thanks to Aimee at the front desk and Michael on the beach for taking such good care of us!

Wonderful luxury apartment with great beach service We spent a couple of very relaxed days in one of the apartments belonging to the Don CeSar hotel. Beautifully laid out apartment with luxurious bathroom and bedroom as part of the suite. Sunny balcony looking into beach. Great warm service everywhere. Michael Fabian hosted the beach chairs and cabana service and made us feel very welcome indeed. Could not have been more helpful. All staff were delightful. Makes such a difference. Loved being able to walk over to the main hotel for the restaurants or morning yoga on the beach! And yet you can retreat to the peace of your own balcony. Lovely long beach for morning runs too! Washing machine and dryer a bonus.

We were in town for a wedding, and decided to hit the beach for the day. So glad we ran into Michael Fabian! What a delight! So much energy! It radiates off of him. Gave us some great tips of where to eat. Thank you so much Michael for making our afternoon so much more enjoyable!

The location is excellent. The rooms are very spacious with a beautiful kitchen with a supper cool booth. The living room is very cozy and the balcony has an incredible view. I stayed here several times. It's the best place in St. Pete Beach.

We had just arrived that afternoon, and decided to have drinks and dinner at the Seaport bar and restaurant downstairs at the sister hotel, the Don Cesar, a block away. I was trying to decide what to order for dinner and the bartender, Dave, suggested I could take away any leftovers I don't eat. I mentioned that my husband had observed upon arrival that the refrigerator in our room smelled "funky" inside. Dave immediately said: "Why don't we just have it changed out?" I looked at him with surprise, not immediately realizing we were essentially dining in the same hotel we were staying in, a block away. He further said: "Yes, I can just call and have your refrigerators switched out while you eat dinner." (This was around 9 on a Friday night.) When we returned to our room, sure enough, there was another refrigerator in our room. I just thought this was amazing! It totally exceeded our expectations. Love, love, love the Beach House Suites AND the Don Cesar! The beach is wide with sugar-fine white sand, and the sunsets are amazing! Rooms are clean and well appointed. All the staff are very friendly. It feels like home away from home.

After enjoying stays at the main Don Cesar we decided to try the Beach House Suites for a longer stay of a week. Clean, roomy, comfortable and with a great balcony for sunset viewing. Each day we drove over to the main hotel (a few blocks away), could have taken a shuttle, but it was so easy to drive over and park. Love the pool at the hotel and access to the beautiful beach. We enjoyed the lobby bar area and shops as well. Other trips we have used the spa and restaurants. The Beach House is roomier and less expensive than the main hotel and has been recently updated. It is really having the best of both locations. The common spaces of the Beach House were very clean but could use a redo.

You must go to the beach and visit Michael Fabian. He will take care of whatever you need with a big smile and warm, welcoming hospitality. Made my time on the beach an absolute pleasure! You don't have to call him twice for anything. Chrisella in housekeeping was also terrific. Front desk staff was pleasant, professional and courteous. This was my second visit. Highly recommend!
