This is our second time staying at Sandcastle south. The room was clean, comfortable, and right on the ocean. Breakfast downstairs was delicious as was the service. But most importantly, the staff was super nice and accommodating, especially Vanesha. They did absolutely everything in their power to make our stay comfortable. Because of the Sandcastle South staff, we will DEFINITELY be back!!! Thanks to them, we had a GREAT vacation!!

"Great Resort"
We stay here every year and sometimes twice a year if we are able to get away. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is located in a great area and the beach is really nice here. Hotel is always kept up nice. Love the jacuzzi's and the pool is nice!!

"Great staff, great room, cheap rates!!!!"
Went to the beach looking for a room late night and found vacancy at this property. Although it is on the south end of the beach directly on the ocean front this hotel was not cluttered at all. There is a restaurant on site with a buffett breakfast and the staff make you feel right at home. This is an all ocean front property and the rates were impeccable! I enjoyed staying there and have stayed three more times since then. Great for families and couples!

stayed here one week 9th nov-16ty three of us stayed in room 316 great views over the beach nice room with 2 double beds and one pullout bed everything we wanted as we were on a weeks golfing trip,ate breakfast every morning which was good,never used the swimming pools but they seemed very popular.

My family stayed here for the weekend and celebrated my daughter's birthday. There was so much to do within the hotel and many attractions close by. My daughter had the time of her life in the lazy river, indoor pool, outdoor pool, and frolicking in the waves! Our room was updated with new furniture, new appliances, new counter top in the kitchen, and the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on!! We look forward to returning and will request the same room.
"Consistency of service"
My husband and I stayed here 9/17-9/22 for our 22nd anniversary on the 20th. We stay here twice a year and the one thing I can say about Sandcastle, is it is VERY consistent. Starting with a fast, efficient check in, and always a pleasant person there, to the rooms, and the housekeeping staff, the place is one of the best. I always find the rooms to be clean and comfortable. We always ask for the highest floor possible and this request is always accomodated. The view from the rooms is outstanding. If you are looking for a hotel that is nice, clean, wonderful staff...stay here. You will not be disappointed. After 8 years, we love knowing we can come here and know exactly what to expect and find it when we arrive!
"Oceanfront with nice amenities"
It is my understanding from conversation with a manager while checking in that some units have been recently renovated - we stayed in a recently renovated unit. All new furniture, mattresses, carpet, everything top notch! Wife and I stayed two nights and had a great time. We both enjoyed the lazy river, hot tubs, and swimming pool. Had some fun walks on the beach and a great oceanfront view from our balcony. Also really liked the buffet breakfast. We will definitely go back and would recommend to others as the price is right - just be sure and request a renovated room and you won't be disappointed.

We stay at the sand castle every year and as always we had a great time. Check in was quick,room was clean,its oceanfront,It has indoor and outdoor pools and a lazy river. It's a 10 minute drive from the airport and very close to every thing else.Thanks sand castle my wife, two kids (12)&(9) and I will see you next year.

We are a family of 5 and when we go on vacation we want it to be as nice as possible for as little cost as we can. We went to this hotel during the month of May. We were so pleased with the location and can't say enough about the room we stayed in. When we go back, which we will I will request the same room (#1407) because it was updated, the carpet was new and the decor was one of a kind! The room and hotel was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating! Would recommend this place over and over!
"Another Great Stay!"
This is our third stay at Sandcastle South and we have enjoyed them all. Check in is quick. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and were greeted, registered and in our room in less than 15 minutes. From check-in to check-out the staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was clean and appeared to have been recently redecorated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and all the appliances were clean and in working order. Housekeeping visited our room daily and provided fresh towels, made the beds and did general cleaning. The large flatscreen TV in the living room was a welcome addition from our last visit. There were several other guests on our floor but never were we bothered by noise, music or banging doors. This is an older building, but is well kept and clean. Looking forward to our next stay.
"Best nights sleep ever!"
My husband and I normally stay at more expensive hotels, but we took a last minute trip on a budget. What a surprise! From the moment we walked in the staff had on a smile. We genuinely felt like they cared and wanted our stay to be great. The room was perfect...clean, spacious, and the sound of the ocean all night made me sleep like a baby. It was cool outside and the pool was warm and relaxing. We were so impressed that we checked out larger rooms so we can take the whole family. They have rooms with a separate bedroom for parents, and sleeper couches and/or a murphy bed for the children. All right on the beach. All within anyones budget. What an awesome beach resort.
"Great hotel, great location, great amenities"
We stayed at the Sandcastle September 7,2013 and loved it! The room was clean, the appliances were new and the hotel is located right on the ocean. The pool, lazy river and Jacuzzis were all very clean and we loved the poolside bar. The staff was friendly and professional and the room was ready when we got there. To top it off my boyfriend accidentally left his wallet in the room and housekeeping found it and kept it safe for us. We spend a lot of time in Myrtle Beach and will definitely be staying at the Sandcastle South Beach again!
"A Perfect Vacation!"
From check-in to check-out my week stay at Sandcastle South Beach was perfect. I arrived late called to let them know and there was no problem. I immediately got a choice of which floor i wanted to be on (all rooms are ocean front!), The second day my tv remote stopped working. (I happened to have AA batteries so I changed them thinking that would fix the issue) when this didnt work I called the front desk and they sent up hotel staff with a new remote. (which did not work as well). So the maintenance tech left and came right back with a BRAND NEW FLATSCREEN!!! He took it out of the box programmed it and all was well. The pools and jacuzzi were very refreshing after my morning walks along the shoreline. The housekeeping staff prompt, courteous and did a great job. I would just like to say thanks to the front desk staff. Jay for making my checkin easy, thanks to Fatima for working on my laptop so I could get to the wifi on my laptop, and thanks to Ms Mary for the late night chats about her almost 30 years working there and interesting history of Myrtle Beach.
"Always A Good Time"
I have stayed there many a months the staff there is GREAT if you have a problem go see MARY BOONE she will get it straight in 1 second never had a bad time there pool hot tubs great also support staff GREAT they are the best of the BEACH and work very hard to make my stay always the BEST all so tell the guy in the BAR you are staying under the second avenue pier LOL the place is GREAT the WORKERS make the place TOP NOTCH
"Great fourth of July vacation!"
My family and I spent 4 nights at Sandcastle South during the 4th of July weekend. Our stay was great. The staff was always very friendly and went out of there way to show us where there was extra parking for the trailer brought with us. The room was always very clean. The cleaning staff was very friendly and always made sure we had plenty of clean towels. The pools and lazy river were always clean. There were several extra activities for the kids to do like corn hole, movies and a talent show just to name a few. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We hope to go back soon!
"Really Nice July 5th Weekend"
We decided at the last minute to take a trip to the beach and Sandcastle South Beach was the only location with vacancy that offered a nice summer discount - $100 off the other sites regular price! Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The kids were in the bedroom with the two queen beds, and my sweetie and I were in the living room. There was a sofa but we slept on the Murphy Bed which was surprisingly comfortable. Our room was beachfront so we had an excellent view, waking up to the sound of the waves. The resort was clean and so was our room. There were various types of pools, which was nice for the kids and us adults. The parking lot was tight, but at least there was one attached to the property FOR FREE, on the same side as the hotel, and covered. The location wasn't bad either as we easily traveled to the amusement park and the Boardwalk attractions. The front desk personnel were very nice and surprisingly interested in our stay. Whenever we needed towels, they arrived to our rooms within 10 minutes or less. I would definitely stay again.
"Still a good place to stay"
Well we've stayed here numerous times I've written a few reviews in regards to this place and read a few bad ones. I'll say this you can't always suit everyone as people have different tastes. This is not the newest joint on the strand but certainly not the oldest and worst either. I like it as it is a great family spot the staff are good to work with and the breakfast buffet is good as well. If you're big money and used to the Hilton then go to the Hilton and complain about it. Definatly recommend this place to any family looking for a nice place to stay at the beach. If ya have any trouble go see ms Mary and tell her I sent ya. I don't always stay at myrtle beach but when I do I prefer sandcastle south beach
"STAFF WAS A BIG HELP"
Was very pleased with my fist stay at the Sandcastle. Staff was friendly and helpful during check-in. Room was nice and kept very clean. All rooms are ocean front with private balcony (like this). Son and family arrived on our last night stay,, front desk very helpful with their stay. When we got home,, grand daughter realized she had left something in the room. Called the hotel, they had found it ,,, sent it to us ,, no charge..... Will definitely stay here again...
"Great Place to Vacation"
My family and I go to Myrtle Beach every summer and though we have occasionally stayed at other places, the Sandcastle South Beach Resort is our mainstay. It's very comfortable with a great view of the beach, pleasant and responsive staff members and very conveniently located. All rooms are non-smoking and they take that seriously. I highly recommend it for a great, relaxing stay.

Have been staying at the Sandcastle South Motel for over 10 years. This year we stayed in April and are going again in September with friends. Love this motel! The pools, hot tubs, lazy river and rooms are clean. The grounds are well maintained. The staff is friendly and professional. We like the location, close to everything. Great view from the ocean front balcony. Looking forward to our next stay.
"Excellent Hotel"
We had a girls getaway and we had a total blast!! No trouble checking in! Anytime we needed towels, ect.... the Housekeeping was always there for us! I highly recommend anyone to stay here! You have a great ocean view from the balcony, if you choose an Ocean Front Room.
