"Great Vacation"
The unit we had was beautiful. The furniture very nice, and the overall unit was clean. This was our 3rd trip here at Ocean Creek. Last year the unit we had needed work and needed updates. But this unit was just beautiful, the colors used were relaxing and great for the eyes. The employees here are wonderful. The resort grounds are well kept and beautiful. The gentleman that takes us to the breach has a very sweet spirit and is very helpful. We enjoyed the stay and plans to return next year.
"Wonderful vacation"
We have stayed at Ocean Creek for over 20+ years. We've have had a few units in need of updates and some that were perfect. We stayed in the tennis villa 2611 it was our 3rd year in this unit. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and saw to our needs. The kitchen needs some attention, I had to purchase our own fry pan which I left for next guest. The furniture needs to be replaced. Other than those minor changes we love the location of this unit. The best feature is the beach and the space you have. My mother fell while we were walking to the Cracker Barrel the guard was so very kind and helpful. He went out of his way to assist her. Thank you for that.
"4th visit"
We have stayed at a few resorts at myrtle beach. We come back here most often because the condo (3 bedroom) is affordable and spacious. We rent through vrbo and have had exactly what we expect. Each tower has its own pool. No lazy river but the "creek" makes up for that. Kids like to play out there for hours catching crabs. Walking distance to barefoot landing.
"Love this place, the towers are your best bet"
We have been going here since before we have had kids. So approx. 16 years. Yes there have been many changes, the grounds, the towers, the bridge..... One thing always remained the bargain and the absolute fun we have as a family which is most important. The kids could stay on the little inlet for hours. Then go the the tiki hut for a burger or hot dog and maybe a mix drink for the parents!:-). I would recommend staying in the towers. We like the south tower the most. The condos are individually owned so some times they decorations are outdated but whatever your on vacation your not having guests over....Once you find one you like you can reserve that particular one for next year. Someone said on and Earlier post ocean creek is the same price as the north beach plantation.... I can tell you that is far from the the truth. I check both every year just to see and every year we stay here because the competitor is double the price.
"Amazing"
We stayed at this resort from June 10 - 13, 2016. The grounds and rooms are very clean. This place has everything you can ask for and kids would love it. The beach bar was nice and relaxing and love the fact that they have music near the beach to entertain adults. The night experience walking on the beach was super cool. I would recommend this place and I will be back in 2017 with other family members.
"Ocean Creek Resort is the BEST"

"Very nice resort"
My family of 6 stayed in Lodge II, a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. Overall, it was a very nice condo. The only downside of the unit is the kitchen was very small and there wasn't a full set of pans, plates or silverware. There were only 4 forks, so we had to eat meals in shifts. We had access to everything on the grounds including all of the pools. The tram down to the beach was super nice! We were very impressed with the entire resort and would definitely come back!
"4th visit - better review this time"
This last week was our 4th week long visit to Ocean Creek. Last year my review was not so great. It was titled....on the decline. THIS year instead of renting direct from Ocean Creek we went thru VRBO.com and rented from a private owner.....and WOW, what a difference! The unit was updated and amazingly clean. It was also very festive! The first impression walking in would say sets the mood for the week. What we found in the past were outdated units that we several times had to be moved for various reasons (clogged drains, unclean, broken fridge, etc.) The great thing we found was we knew what the unit looked like before arriving. Unfortunately, I think they are trying to sell the unit so not sure of future rentals...but if interested check "beechy keen" out on vrbo.com. With the room problem outta the way.....the grounds were improved. There were a lot of workers out cleaning pools and taking care of the landscape. The pool bar is good and prices are reasonable. I might recommend them playing music. It seems that without one source of music there are 4-5 people playing their own making it a little obnoxious. But all in all we had a great experience this time...... renting thru private ownership.
"Father's Day Daddy Daughter weekend at the Tennis Villas"
A buddy of mine and I have a Single Dad weekend with daughters every year. We needed a last minute place. I have stayed in Ocean Creek before, and enjoyed it. Got a great deal for a Tennis Villa. The place was not super new or high end, but it was perfect for our needs. Both Dads had a bedroom, and a bedroom with two single beds worked great for the girls, 11 and 13 years old. The swimming pool was just the right size and was never crowded. We had hoped to swim in other pools on property, but I don't think we were allowed in the high rise pools. We didn't test that, so might not be true. Hotel is perfectly situated across from Barefoot resort shopping, and close to Broadway at the beach. We loved that the resort is gated, and we had a blast. There are many different options to stay in the Ocean Creek resort, but the Tennis Villa was my favorite so far.
"great vacation."
Have been coming here for years, and even though the units in the tower could use some updating, they are always very clean, the staff is helpful, the pools are great and you can't beat the view. It is gated so you feel much safer. I would recommend the resort to everyone.
"Ocean Breeze"
Met relatives at Ocean Creek Resort, stayed in Lodge 1. Location was great, within walking distance of the Ocean. Unit was a studio with one double bed, small kitchen and large queen size sofa. Did not take advantage of the kitchen but it well equipped with everything you need to eat in. We were on the bottom next to the pool, which was great. Screened in porch also was great. Bed was somewhat comfortable, pillows were too small. The best thing was that you were only blocks to the ocean. The resort does provide shuttle service to the ocean from 9 to 9 each day or close enough to walk. The grounds were beautiful with full grown trees and flowers. Nice outdoor bar at the ocean. Ocean sand was wide - didn't feel crowded. Ocean surf provided an inlet that would fill up and go down with the tides - the inlet was a great place especially for small children. The Resort was right across the street from Barefoot Landing, with many dining establishments and shopping but don't walk, Hwy 17 is too busy a hwy. Would stay here again. Price was reasonable.
"South Tower"
Absolutely amazing. Sleeps 7 comfortably and the views are amazing. Very kids friendly the pools are amazing and it isn't as crowded as most of the other places. Rooms are very clean with all the amenities. This is year 20 or 30 of us staying at Myrtle Beach. We will always stay at Ocean Creek.
"Nice & Family oriented"
Very nice staff. Quick check-in. We stayed in lodge 2111. It was nice and clean. I can't say enough about the grounds and beach. They were immaculate. The snack shop for guest at the beach was very convenient not to mention the shuttles to the beach and back. But we enjoyed walking and looking around at the scenery. The pools were clean & well maintained. I can't say enough about Ocean Creek other than it will be a hard sell to get us to stay anywhere else again.
"Always a pleasure"
We have stayed at Ocean Creek multiple times in the last several years. As always, we find the staff friendly and the accommodations clean. Several say there aren't adequate pots/pans, etc in the kitchen. With these being individually owned and used by a lot of people we would not expect it to be fully stocked with everything needed as things do get broken or worn. Some of the units are older and in need of updating but again, they are always clean which is a top priority for us. We will continue staying at Ocean Creek and in fact are planning our next stay in the fall.
"Expectations exceeded"
I find booking accommodations in Myrtle Beach can be a crap shoot. My girlfriend and I were headed to the beach for a long weekend so I wanted a place that #1 was clean, #2 was on a great part of the beach (which for me is less crowded, limited party crowd and more couples and families), #3 Had a kitchen #4 close to good restaurants. Ocean Creek was a home run. It was easy to reserve, check in was easy, great breakfast option we pre-paid for, quiet, spacious and a great non-crowded beach that was easy access from our 1 bedroom condo. The only downside was the kitchen wasn't well stocked (no knives to slice and dice) but we managed. We already are looking for our next opportunity to visit.
"Excellent rental from VRBO - #339072"
My family has visited Myrtle Beach for many years but we always seem to come back to the Ocean Creek Resort. This year we rented a 3 bedroom condo through VRBO. The condo was on the 8th floor South Tower (which is my favorite view.) The condo was beautiful and provided a great view of the Atlantic Ocean from the master bedroom and the living room area. The balcony was a great place to sit and relax with a cup of coffee early in the morning and just watch the waves break on the shore. The grounds at Ocean Creek are well manicured and there is even a little pond with fish, turtles, and ducks that love to be fed! There are several pools, both indoor and out, along with tennis courts and strolling paths to enjoy. I will say that not all properties are the same so I can only speak for the one I actually used this year. I think Ocean Creek is great for couples, families, and seniors. I can't wait to go back soon!
"Great value - resort at Myrtle Beach"
We've stayed here twice, and have enjoyed it both times. Great tennis courts and pro, nice pools (several outdoor, and one indoor), shuttle runs all the time from condos to beach but it's an easy walk from even the furthest homes. Nice restaurant, but you'll be close to many great restaurants. Barefoot Landing is right across the street. Great beach bar just for the resort. We stayed in one nice owner unit, and one nice Ocean Creek unit. When we got there the second year our unit was pretty bad (owner unit), but they moved us right away when we asked, and we were very happy. They also let us stay until 5:00 the day of our departure, for just $25. That let us enjoy a day on the beach before we left. We would definitely go back again.
"Great place for a quite restful vacation or for a fun vacation."
Love Ocean Resort. This was our second time staying in the lodge. We had one bedroom unit the first time and the efficiency condo this time. Both places were lovely. The surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful and so peaceful with a short beautiful walk to the beach. The staff. including the cleaning, couldn't be any nicer, always smiling, speaking and asking if we needed anything. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the lodge restaurant every morning. They prepared a very special breakfast for us on Mothers Day - waffles with strawberries and real whipped cream, made to order omelets, fresh fruit, eggs, gravy, bacon, sausage, pork tenderloin, fried chicken, grits and potatoes, plus several more items. Great Place. I look forward to another visit to Ocean Creek Resort
"Never Disappoints"
This was our third visit to Ocean Creek. This time, instead of booking through the Ocean Creek Resort, we booked through VRBO. The reason why I gave this visit a 4 is because the second bedroom was advertised as having a queen bed. However the bed was only a full. The unit we rented was beautiful. It was located in the North Tower, on the 15th floor (F-15). The unit was updated and the view from the patio was spectacular. Ocean Creek is a beautiful resort and this was a beautiful condo.
"Great Stay!"
We stayed at Ocean Creek Resort and rented from condo owners. The resort is lovely and quiet (we were there in April). The employees were very friendly everywhere we went. We loved sitting in the high deck chairs at the beach club during happy hour with a drink and a great view! The beach was nice, although I am sure in the summer it is very crowded with the huge newer resort that has been built next door (unfortunately). There are many lovely pools there as well although it would be nice to have access to at least one heated one as they are still very cool in April. We were at Ocean Creek over 20 years ago and enjoyed our return visit there as much as the first!
"Another great myrtle beach vacation"
This is absolutely the best place we have found for having fun with your little ones in myrtle beach. The creek is especially great at low tide. Our three year old can play in the creek and we don't have to worry about the waves. He loves catching the little fish and crabs and playing on the beach. Love the privacy and security. We don't even look for other places when we plan to go to myrtle beach. We found this place and we love it.
