"Relaxing Resort"
I have to say this is the second time we have traveled back to Aura, last year was good, but this year was a lot better, the staff, the food, I cant believe that people complain about the portion of the food. It is all inclusive, so you can always order more, never once did I see food left on the plate, which shows you that it is good. We were there for our anniversary and it was nothing but relaxing, never rushed, pool was great beach activities were great. I cant wait to go back!

We were amazed by the awesome changes in the food selections they got 20 times better never once had an issue with food and if we did it was corrected instantly my wife can't handle spice and they prepared her dishes to her liking all she had to do is ask and they satisfied on the spot the staff was greatt Great job Marco M. for the awesome experience once again your staff has out done their self from Waldo to Reigo the bartender and sandy at the reception desk and Juan Carlos. We stayed at Secrets Aura in October 2013 for our Honeymoon! They were wonderful! Very great service and very nice people. The property was always very clean, the food and drinks were delicious, and the beach was amazing. The snorkeling off the pier was to die for!! The best snorkeling I have ever done!! Awesome place to stay!
"Wonderful place to relax, friendly people, excellent service!"
My husband and I wanted to try out Cozumel to relax and get away from our hectic life back home.We have traveled extensively throughout Mexico and The Caribbean: mostly 5 star resorts. We thought we'd give this resort a try. I have to say that this resort was special. It has a unique design, the beach was lovely and the staff was excellent. The restaurants were all very nice-Bordeaux being out favorite! (Caladensia was wonderful).If you want something not on the menu, they will try to accommodate. Room service and menu was also excellent and we never had to wait too long. We had the corner swimout in the preferred section. Gorgeous! Our room attendant Juanita was a doll! After a day or so she knew exactly when to come and clean. I only wish the bar service in our room would have had some liquor or wine-I am not a beer drinker-but no big deal. The preferred lounge opens early. We walked the beach every day, some days having lunch at the resort and swinging on the swings at their bar near the beach. Plenty of chairs on beach and around pools. The water slides in the back of the resort were lots of fun! We never made it to the club at night as we were in our room early. You can do all you want or nothing at all. We even parasailed.The water sports team hooked us up and the boat came right to the end of the pier to pick us up. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the raw peaceful beauty Cozumel along with a pretty boutique style adults only all inclusive property. So glad we went!
"Great place"
Enjoyed a super fantastic trip over Christmas! The staff in all the departments were very nice and looked after us well. Great snorkelling right off the dock with not so crowded beach areas. I liked all the restaurants and there was a couple of beach bbq's that were also good. Would recommend and return :)

First I would like to thanks this tremendous hotel team. for the effort to make us love fell so good, so we are the kind of people who work hard to find the right place for vacations, and we really made right founded this romantic place. Thanks to the general manager Marco Soria super nice. The executive chief Mr Jose Fernado Castro the master in sea food,( gracias por la cena del dia jueves 28), the people of the v.i.p room always ready to do their job thank my friends, every body in general, the restaurants super gooooooood. please my romantics friends if you want something really good pick this place. "Great Vacation for couples"
Stayed at Ultra Luxury Cozumel Resort with 3 couples. It was awesome. Food is good, beach is good, staff is great! we loved the entertainment staff each day by the pool and beach. Beach volleyball was awesome each day! Thanks to Papi, Mexican chocolate, and Juan!!
"What a wonderful secret you were!"
Our experience here was fantastic and I can't believe we only stayed 7 days. My husband and I had such a great time we were loathe to leave. We stayed there in October over Halloween and had such a great time. Please don't underestimate me though there were some drawbacks.........Ladies the spa is amongst the best I've been to, however do not have any waxing done. As for our room we were right on the beach next to the construction but had no issues at all. The staff were fantastic and so funny at times, especially entertaining me when my husband was diving and I wasn't having at the spa. I would like to see the French restaurant used a little more but loved the ya when my husband forgot his long pants his long cotton PJ Alexander's were acceptable. It's this sort of adaptability that will go a long way to making you a favourite with visitors. The location was fantastic and the sunsets gorgeous. From a diving perspective my husband wished he had done more and was sad to leave. We will definitely revisit and might add this to our few repeat hotels list. We are very particular and so I was very surprised. Thank you for a relaxing and fun holiday
"Had a Great Vacation"
My husband and I paid a lot for this Christmas Time vacation, and we were not disappointed. We have stayed at many resort over the last ten years, and have never gone back to the same one twice. This is a resort that we would return to. The staff was very friendly and even started to know us by name (especially room service). We always felt safe and looked after. Towards the end of our stay we rented a car from a company stationed at the resort for 24 hours and drove along the east side of the island, stopping at Coconuts for lunch (expensive but delicious). After, we drove downtown to do some shopping. The car rental probably cost us close to $100, however a cab in to town costs about $20 one way, so we thought we would go outside our comfort zone, and really enjoyed having the rental.
"Beautiful location and peaceful fun."
Just returned from Cozumel. My wife and I had a great time there. We were greeted with a cold town and drink when we arrived and check in was very smooth. Our room was a Pool View Swim-Up Junior Suite. Everything in the room was clean and prefect with two robes waiting for us and our complementary mini bar was restocked daily. Dinner at each restaurant was great but room service was slow and the food was cold by the time it go to us. The ocean was clear and the sand was soft. Drink service on the beach was great and you could order food as well. There is not much of entertainment during the night time unless you want to go to their dance club. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway then I would suggest Secrets Aura to you.
"A great relaxing place""
This was our first time in Mexico and we never stayed at an all-inclusive anywhere nor do we live the "high life." That being said we thought this place was excellent. We gave this place a 4 because the rooms were average and the entertainment was somewhat lacking. Our room was clean. We had one of the rooms in the newer section. We LOVED the food! It was super fancy with 5 course meals combined with excellent service. The ocean front is beautiful and there is snorkeling off the beach. You'll have to shop around for the best deals for excursions. The prices seem very subjective talking to several people. Be sure to shop around for the best deal. EVERYONE WANTS YOUR MONEY.
"Great place to relax."
Very clean and comfortable rooms with great views. The food was great with good portion sizes in order to enjoy a five course meal and not feel uncomfortable. The entertainment staff, (Julio, Adrian, and Jose) really go the extra mike to make sure you are having a good time while spending time at the resort. Marucio and Juan are excellent bar tenders at the Manitee Bar. Many times we would be across the pool from the bar and they would walk over to us tosee if we needed anything before our current drink was even empty. All in all a great trip with helpful and fun staff.
"Perect Vacation"
We stayed at Ultra Luxury Cozumel the week before Thanksgiving. Several people have commented that the resort is currently undergoing a remodel and that the noise of the construction was bothersome. Frankly, we were not bothered by the noise. They did not work at night, and even though our room was close to the new building area we enjoyed our stay very much. The service was SUPERB. In every way, the staff made our stay great. The food was very nicely presented. The portions were a perfect size so that a five course meal could be consumed, enjoyed and one could still walk away not feeling overstuffed. The house wines available at dinner were good and we never felt we needed to order a special bottle. There was a very handy coffee shop near our rooms, which was open from about 7 am 10 pm, with excellent coffee choices and also pastries, sandwiches or desserts, depending on time of day. The beach was clean, with plenty of beach chairs and towels. The pier was also nice easy for boarding boats for snorkeling, scuba, fishing, etc We booked several such trips during our stay and each tour provider arrived on time and provided a good service. Our room was very nice. We had ocean view-swim-up rooms. The rooms were large with great seating areas. Each room had a large patio area with a big bed and pillows for lounging. One could simply step off the patio and into the lazy river, which wound around to the main pool. Floats were available for use in the pool. Each room had a whirlpool tub and big tiled shower. We had rented a car for the trip. There was a very convenient parking area not far from our room. The resort also had valet parking. Drinks were easy to get, and included top shelf liquor. Waitresses came around frequently to take drink and food orders from guest at the pool and beach. Our daughter had a slight medical issue during the trip. She needed an anti-biotic. Yared, at the front desk, was able to make a phone call, and get the meds delivered to the resort within 45 minutes. We were amazed and thankful. We will definitely consider Ultra Luxury Cozumel for future vacations. The service was amazing and made the trip comfortable and enjoyable.
"A great secret..."
My husband and I travel a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Secrets Aura! Contrary to other downer reviews, it was a great place. Now if you are expecting an all inclusive Ritz Carlton, this is not the place for you. Starting with our greeting from Carlos upon our arrival to Marianna seating for us for breakfast the staff and service was impeccable. The only bummer was the strict dress code at the French restaurant...gentlemen, do not forget your long dress pants! We stayed in a swim up suite. The room was simply decorated and wonderfully spacious, as well as the bathroom. Additionally, we loved that this was an adults only resort. The Spa was well worth our two visits. I highly recommend Joey for a most thorough massage and the Fish Spa for a unique experience. Bring your water shoes as the trek into the ocean from the beach is a bit rocky. However, there is a swim ladder off the pier which is where we started our swims. The snorkeling tour is well worth it...lovely. All-in-all we give Cozumel a two thumbs up!!! We would go back in a heartbeat!! Thank you to all the staff for making our trip a most memorable one.

The Amstar rep charged us a $20 commission when we could have booked it ourselves without wasting the $20. That was the only frustrating part of the trip. Cozumel was awesome, and my wife and I felt safe the whole time, and Ultra Luxury Cozumel was really nice...although the food could have been a step up in quality...it was good, don't get me wrong, but I'd say it was 4 star dining and well short of 5 star dining.

"Luxury over Thanksgiving"
We just returned form a week at Ultra Luxury Cozumel. Overall we had a great time ! Staff was very nice, our room was a swim up king ocean view, all was good with the room. the food and drink was very good and room service was awesome !! pools were fun and scuba diving was awesome !!! we will be back !!
"Great experience"
We stayed Nov4-10 and had a wonderful time. The room was very spacious and clean. The view from our balcony was stunning. We had no problems with noise as we were on the opposite side of the resort from the construction. The food and service were very good at the resort and the Italian restaurant at the sister resort was amazing. The beach in front of the resort was cleaned and raked every morning with plenty of loungers available for sunbathing. If you snorkel there is lots to see just feet from the beach....lobster, flounder, octopus, an eel and lots of colorful fish. We enjoyed the hobie cats that are available at no extra charge. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this resort.
"2nd time was just as great!"
Just got back from a 5 day stay and had a wonderful time! My husband and I went to Cozumel back in April in 2012 and booked a return trip because we had such a great experience. However, we were super nervous reading all the reviews on trip advisor about construction, inability to get the room you booked, etc. We had NO issues like that. Yes, there was some construction nearby the property, but I think we heard a saw running about 5 times during our stay. Far from being annoying. We had no issues getting the exact, perfect swim-up room that we requested right on the front part of the property. Staff was excellent and friendly and very helpful. Would definately recommend this resort again and again.
"Highly Recommeded"
Our stay at Ultra Luxury Cozumel was wonderful even with construction going on for improvements for the resort. We are looking forward to returning too see the improvents made. Resort staff was outstanding and the food was great. Great snorkeling off the beach as well!
